Habitat: Due to its distribution as a domestic species, it is practically found in all types of vegetation with a higher incidence in thickets, grasslands and tropical forests.


Diet: Their diet consists of grasses, herbs, stems, leaves, seeds and roots of numerous plants.


Habits: It is diurnal and spends about 8 hours/day grazing. It is a sociable species that tends to group in herds that are organized based on a hierarchical system of dominance, in which each individual must be subordinate to those above him. The females are very protective and share the care of the young with other members of the group.
