domestic hen

Gallus gallus

Habitat: It is related to the human being so it is practically found in all types of vegetation.

Food: They feed on insects, worms, seeds, plant shoots and fruits.

Habits: They live in groups and can become territorial, although they are usually good companion animals. They have a social system with a hierarchical order where there is a dominant male and a male who is subjugated by the others. Chickens have an independent pecking order. They spend half the day foraging and often take sand baths to clean their feathers.

It is interesting that… the rooster emits a sound called a song that serves as a territorial challenge to attract nearby females and as a warning signal
